Molly, President and Creative Director for Desert Elements, has over twenty years of graphic design and media arts experience. Her unique style and creativity have set Desert Elements apart from its competition. Her strong design talents allow her to produce work for a huge range of needs and clients is a wide variety of industries. Molly's background is diverse and includes professional experience in architecture, publishing, and jewelry design. She created a successful line of children's clothing and went on to earn an MFA in Media Arts and Computer Science. She has also taught as an adjunct professor at the New School in New York.

Alisa has worked as a developer, as a designer, and as a project manager for over ten years. She has worked with all kinds of clients over the years, large and small: major arts and culture organizations, financial institutions, tourism industry operations, small businesses, and individuals. Additionally, Alisa has served as a volunteer business mentor, IT consultant, and teacher with several development organizations: with the Geek Corps in Ghana, with the Financial Services Volunteer Corps in Macedonia, and with the Peace Corps in China. Alisa has never met a spreadsheet she didn't love, and has found project planning and management to put her strengths of organization and thoroughness to good use for our clients.

Returning to Desert Elements in 2011 as the strategic lead and Marketing Services Director, Cheryl was one of the original founders when the company began. After seven years of partnership, Cheryl moved to the East Coast to head up the Interactive Department at Stoner Bunting Advertising, and was then promoted to Account Services Director to work with clients in both traditional and online media.  Her experience with business-to-business and consumer marketing developed through working with clients like Jiffy Lube, Stainmaster, Armstrong Flooring and Cargas Energy. Cheryl’s advertising career originally began at The Martin Agency in Richmond, Virginia, where she served as an Account Executive for FMC Corporation and Careerbuilder.com. Equal parts strategic thinker and passionate designer, Cheryl works with clients and coworkers alike to provide an integrated approach to all marketing endeavors.

As a senior web developer, Kristin builds websites and applications using the latest development languages and techniques. She excels at creating interfaces that have ease of use and longevity for our clients. Kristin is genuinely dedicated to staying current with the latest trends in new media deployment. She is also adept at video editing and production. Kristin is a graduate of New Mexico Highlands University, where she majored in English and in Design Studies.

john spence

John has been the lead programmer with Desert Elements since early 2007. He climbed the ranks of the software company Intuit before transitioning into a full fledged website programmer. He is agile with a range of backend coding and has particular expertise with custom web application development. He is an excellent communicator and is able to trouble shoot tall problems in a single bound. His experience and strong coding skills provide the ability to meet challenging requirements with efficiency. John is fluent in written and spoken Spanish.

Clarity's love of databases began as an undergraduate at a data-entry job for a cancer research project in Seattle, Washington. As a graduate student she developed the first iteration of the UNLV Nevada Desert Research Center website using hand-written HTML. After long hot days gathering plant physiological data in the Nevada Desert, it was exciting to use the early internet connectivity to make the data available to the geographically dispersed research team. Clarity is proud that the UNLV website continues to serve the same purpose today. From web-based education to e-commerce, Clarity's broad experience in web application technologies provides valuable background to her focus of writing clean and stable back-end code for our clients' websites.

With extensive experience in print media, he has created quality design and marketing collateral for both commercial and non-profit entities. Outreach and identity have been key components of Stephen's creative work. Stephen works to produce fresh, innovate design with valuable visual impact.

Oban grew up splitting time between San Francisco, California and Northern New Mexico. He is an accomplished web programmer, database designer and systems administrator. He has been the lead systems administrator for an ISP, programmed for startups during the dot.com heyday, and built the backend of many enterprise level websites. He currently is the President and Systems Administrator for Brownrice Internet, Inc., a successful hosting, server co-location, and custom programming business.

beth mcrae

Beth McRae has over 25 years of business development and leadership experience. As Global Director leading a multi-billion dollar IBM - Cisco strategic Unified Communications (UC) engagement, she is leading a complex global program integrating UC into IBM GTS service product lines accelerating strategic value for joint customers.

Ms. McRae has led companies to award-winning levels of recognition, market share, and revenue growth. As Vice President, Strategic Alliances & Marketing for Vista Information Technology, a privately-held call center & managed services firm, Ms. McRae was instrumental in establishing the brand, market strategy and sales alliances leading to an acquisition by Avaya.

As a senior member of the Avaya start-up team for Global Business Communications Solutions and Managed Services, Ms. McRae directed the build strategy of a national business development organization to penetrate new markets for Remote Managed Services, On-Demand Hosted Solutions, and VoIP Migration Outsourcing.

Prior roles include serving as Senior VP Business Strategy for docHarbor, VP and General Manager Cirrus Technology Inc. and several marketing and product development roles at Arbitron.

Additionally, Ms. McRae founded C.G. Paris Inc. a business development & management consulting company where she advised multiple start-up companies.

Beth received her BA in Radio, Television & Film and her Masters in General Administration for Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland system. She served on the Board of Directors – University of Maryland, UC Alumni Association for four years and was also a key member, University of Maryland President’s Club Steering Committee. Currently, Beth serves as a hospice volunteer for Providence Hospice of Seattle.

Bill's broad business, technical, and financial expertise spans the IT life cycle in a mix of independent consulting and private sector companies (startup, turn around, corporate practice). A key thread throughout has been an increased company value, market share, and revenue through innovative business services solutions.

Service innovation disciplines include strategic business communications consulting, enterprise customer interactions, web-enabled content management, converged enterprise infrastructure management, and services-oriented architecture.

Companies were sometimes large (Cisco - currently, Avaya) but mostly small (VISTA Information Technology, docHarbor, LCT, others) - all with an entrepreneurial focus for success.

Bill's key contributions include formulating engagement methodologies, directing systems development and integration teams, seeking and nourishing strategic alliances, and managing to the bottom line for customer delight.

Bill brings a BA from Emory University, a Masters in MIS from the George Washington University plus energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to the table.
